✅ The most basic criterion in organic egg production comprises the fact that chickens shall be provided with sufficient space to roam, i.e. according to EU standards, for example, a flock of 10 chickens should have a minimum of 40 square meters to roam, hunt insects and graze.

At our farm we fully meet this criterion, that is, we have space to increase the number of our flocks several times and still be in line with this criterion. At this moment we meet this criterion 3 times better, that is, a flock of 10 birds at our farm thrives on 133 m2 land, instead of 40 m2. A smaller number of chickens also means production of far better eggs, especially in winter months when there is no vegetation, that is, when with flax seed/flax seed oil, pumpkins, watermelons and other plants the levels of Omega 3 acids can be improved, as we actually do.

❗ In our country there are farms producing "homegrown eggs" that do not meet this criterion at all, that is, they keep 1000 chickens per 1000 square meters, they produce a huge number of eggs, but their quality is the same as those from commercial farms because there is no possibility for such chickens to exploit the benefits of the agricultural land where they are located.

⛔ Apart from this criterion, resellers reselling eggs from commercial farms represent another interesting momentum where they actually deceive people who are driven by the low prices of their eggs and fail to pay attention to what they are actually buying.

Eggs resellers are easy to identify, so they usually only have the option of delivering the eggs to you, without the possibility of you picking them up from their farm, they have a social profile with little information, with a few hens photographed during the best summer period of the year, with lots of greenery, green trees, in the pictures they show a huge number of eggs, usually packed in a single type of packaging - cartons of 30 eggs, in the pictures they usually show 20-30 such cartons, which are actually impossible to collect in real organic egg production because such eggs are not stocked as they are sold quickly. Resellers' eggs are usually clean (but they can also deliberately make some of them appear dirty), of one color, they can mix up a carton and put a white egg in it to make their clients believe that they are buying different homegrown eggs, they can show large eggs with two yolks, and the like. When ordering from such resellers, they are willing to deliver eggs in large quantities in a short time, meaning they always have enough eggs in stock, regardless of how many are ordered.

❗ Commercial eggs can also be identified by the color of the yolk, so it can be dark orange in all of the eggs, but also yellow in all of them, whereas in eggs from pastured and free-range chickens it can be different from egg to egg, some can have a darker yolk, some a yellow yolk, some even can have a whiter yolk because such chickens, in addition to being fed standard feed, they also graze and are additionally served grass, eat tomatoes, watermelons, melons, pumpkins, insects and other diverse plants, so depending on the pigment of the feed, the yolk of the egg takes on a specific color.

❌ Resellers sell their eggs at low prices, being almost identical to those in supermarkets, with delivery included to the customers' homes. Such profitability in selling their "homegrown eggs" at a super cheap price with delivery included is due to the fact that they do not actually produce them, that is, they buy them directly from commercial farms, unmarked for 4 or 5 denars in bulk (maybe even cheaper) and they immediately deliver them to their customers in large quantities, whereby everyone is satisfied, both the resellers who make a good profit, and their customers who think they have bought healthy and natural/organic eggs at the price of eggs that can be bought in supermarkets!

✅ To be to the safe side of truth we shall not trust, we shall check, especially if we want to buy something that we really want to buy, being led by the idea that not every egg is the same and equally healthy!!!
